New Jersey has become a state of roadside memorials. Oh we have gotten very good about it. The young lady who thought she was faster then the train has a lovely memorial on a pole by the tracks. To bad this young ladies parents diddnt spend a bit more time teaching thier child how to be safe.
Same goes for any number of young folk smeared on the road because they never learned that you cant win a fight with 2 tons of steel.
And then there is that 18 year old punk whose parents decieded he should have that shiny new hot rod... Come on people dont tell me you diddnt know he was going to drive too fast and then.... you let him kill himself and his 3 friends who should have known better then to get in your sons car.
Just tonight I was in Leonardo Nj waiting to make a left turn and I saw a man and a child... boy I think and about 12. Both on Bikes..... So here we have this genious parent teaching his child to ride his bike across the highway against the light.... I wonder what kind of memorial this fellow will maybe one day get.... and will his Father ever read this.....
I am so sick and tired of people saying they have the right of way.... you only have the right of way if the other driver gives it to you. And to the parents of 3 children in Seabright NJ , I hope you go to hell before you send your kids there. Route 36 in seabright is busy most of the time before midnight and the signs on the crosswalk that inform you that you are protected by state law dont mean a thing if the oncomming traffic dosent make way.
Using your children to stop traffic isnt just stupid.... its criminal!
If your a parent or want to be a parent , take a moment to teach your children to be safe. Safe is so much better then dead and while the memorials may be pretty and even loving.... most of those people diddnt have to die.
